Brian Higgins Memorial Award

J.D. students at the Peter A. Allard School of Law on UBC's Vancouver campus who are members of the Law Students' Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) are eligible for this award. Candidates should have shown dedication to the cause of access to justice and volunteered substantial time and effort delivering pro bono legal services to people who would otherwise have none. The award is valued at $1,750. There is no student application; the recipient is chosen on the recommendation of the Peter A. Allard School of Law. The award is funded through an endowment commemorating Brian Higgins, a supervising lawyer for LSLAP from 1988 to 2011.
