Full-time undergraduate or graduate nursing students enrolled in a state-accredited program in California or Nevada may apply. You need at least one year of school remaining, a 3.5 GPA, and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
Two one-time $5,000 scholarships are awarded each year, one for a California student and one for a Nevada student. Funds are paid directly to your school for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and required equipment.
Apply between September 1 and the November deadline with enrollment verification, official transcripts, two nursing faculty recommendations, and a signed release form. Finalists may interview with the committee; recipients are notified by the end of March.
Selected students serve as Bonnie Fang Foundation student ambassadors through volunteer work.

Underrepresented high school seniors and college students attending full time at Brighthouse Scholar Connections partner schools in the Charlotte, North Carolina area may apply. Awards provide up to $10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years with reapplication, for a maximum of $40,000. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and maintain at least a 2.7 GPA. Submit a personal statement, writing sample, resume, academic transcripts, and a letter of recommendation. High school seniors also submit a college acceptance letter. Brighthouse Scholar Connections, Inc. supports first-generation students, historically underrepresented groups, and students from schools with low graduation rates or funding.
Essay written for youU.S. citizens or permanent residents pursuing a PhD in applied physical sciences, biological sciences, mathematics, or engineering may apply for the Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship. Applicants must be college seniors, first-year graduate students, or in a gap year preparing for graduate study and must morally commit to making their skills available to the United States in times of national emergency. Fellowships provide a cost-of-education allowance and personal stipend, with total funding packages valued at up to $250,000 over five years. Fellows may pursue research at participating U.S. universities and join a lifelong network of Hertz Fellows. Submit an online application with academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and personal essays. Finalists participate in multiple interview rounds.
