About this scholarship

Open to UBC Vancouver students who show high standards of leadership in the management or administration of UBC Athletic, Recreation, or Intramural programs.

The award is $500. Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Director of Athletic and Sport Services. There is no separate application.

Friends of Bob Ackles endowed the award in his honour. Ackles was a former general manager of the B.C. Lions and spent his career in Vancouver sport management.
