About this scholarship
Nonresident incoming first-time freshmen at the University of Kentucky are automatically considered for the Bluegrass Spirit Scholarship when admitted with a complete file by the December 1 scholarship deadline. Traditional criteria include at least a 3.0 GPA and, if ACT/SAT scores are submitted, at least a 25 ACT or 1200 SAT; test-optional applicants are evaluated on GPA and related criteria.
Awards are tiered from $5,000 to $12,500 per year and are renewable for four years with full-time enrollment and a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Students may receive only one of the listed UK academic scholarship awards.
