About this scholarship

The Blue and Gold Distinguished Award is an automatic merit scholarship for first-time college students entering the University of Missouri-Kansas City who are working on their first bachelor's degree. Beginning Fall 2026, eligible students receive seven thousand five hundred dollars per academic year. Applicants must apply to UMKC by January 15 for fall admission and meet minimum criteria of a 30 ACT and 3.65 high school core GPA. Students receive only the highest automatic award for which they qualify. The scholarship is renewable throughout the academic career when renewal criteria are met and is not available to Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, or Law admits.
