About this scholarship
The Blazer Scholarship is an automatic in-state freshman merit award for admitted high school seniors who meet the lowest published ACT or SAT and GPA thresholds on UAB's in-state merit table. Students are reviewed through the admission application when they apply by the in-state priority deadline, with no additional scholarship application required. Recipients must enroll full time at UAB in a first undergraduate degree program and may renew the scholarship for up to four years by meeting UAB's continuing eligibility standards.
