About this scholarship

Outstanding members of the UBC Okanagan Heat women's basketball teams in any year of study who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills may be considered for this athletic award.

Awards totalling $1,800 are available from an endowment established by Anthony Beyrouti and the Meola family, along with matching funds from UBC. Individual awards may range from $500 to the maximum allowable under athletic association regulations. Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Athletics Awards Committee.
