Domestic UBC Vancouver students who identify as Black (African, African-American, African-Canadian, Afro-Caribbean) and are entering an undergraduate program directly from secondary school or transferring from another post-secondary institution may apply. Applicants must be academically qualified, meet all UBC admissions requirements, and demonstrate financial need.
Awards of up to $20,000 per year are available through the Beyond Tomorrow Scholars program. Subject to continued academic standing, awards renew for up to three additional years or until the first undergraduate degree is completed.
Submit your UBC application and the UBC Entrance Award Application, selecting the Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Award, by December 1. The application includes a description of circumstance (maximum 1,000 words), a parent or guardian form, and a reference form. Awards are adjudicated by Enrolment Services.
