About this scholarship

Grade 8 and Grade 12 students from senior public schools serving the Regent Park-Cabbagetown areas may be nominated for the Beland Honderich Awards. Nominators work with the Cabbagetown Community Arts Centre and Cabbagetown Youth Centre to identify students with strong academic potential who face social and economic hardship.

Recipients may receive up to $6,000 and are normally expected to pursue an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto. Renewal depends on satisfactory academic progress. The awards support post-secondary education through academic and financial assistance.
