Beatrice Wellington Gonzales Memorial Scholarship in Social Work

For a deserving senior undergraduate in the Bachelor of Social Work program at UBC Vancouver, with special consideration for students concerned about the plight of individuals.

One memorial scholarship of $300 honors Beatrice Wellington Gonzales (B.A., UBC), endowed by Dr. and Mrs. W. G. Wellington. Miss Gonzales served as a teacher in Canada and as a field officer for League of Nations and United Nations agencies, working to protect political refugees in Europe before and during World War II.

The School of Social Work recommends recipients. No separate application.
