About this scholarship

Open to an outstanding UBC Vancouver student in the Acting stream of the B.F.A. Theatre program. Financial circumstances of the candidate are considered.

The award is a $1,750 scholarship endowed as a tribute to Beatrice Wood, B.A.Sc. (Nursing) '23, by her three children. No separate application; recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Department of Theatre and Film.

Beatrice Wood was instrumental in establishing the Frederic Wood Theatre Foundation and served on the UBC Senate.
