Bauer Bursary

Full-time Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts and Science in Health students at St. Francis Xavier University who are Canadian citizens, attended high school in Cape Breton, and demonstrate financial need are eligible. Applicants need an 85% entrance average and must maintain a 70% average to renew in years two through four. Preference goes to students involved in extracurricular or community leadership activities. One bursary of up to $4,000 is available. Apply through the StFX limited bursary program.

St. Francis Xavier University full-time undergraduates (including BEd and MEd) in second through fourth year, registered in 30 credits, with financial need, at least a 75% average from the previous year, recent or current part-time employment, and a commitment to working against conditions that foster violence (primarily through community service) may receive up to $1,000. Apply through the StFX Limited Bursary Program.

Open to students from Jamaica entering the Bachelor of Engineering program at Dalhousie University who demonstrate good academic standing and financial need. Two renewable scholarships of $22,000 per year (up to $88,000 over four years) help cover tuition and housing for the duration of each recipient's degree. Students may enter Engineering directly from high school or transfer from another institution. Consideration is through Dalhousie's entrance award processes for international students.
