About this scholarship
Open to second-year UBC Vancouver MA students in History, with first preference for interests in gender, women, or families, labour, or immigration studies, and second preference for social history or oral history.
The award provides $4,400 from an endowment established by Reema Faris (BA 1983) in honour of her paternal grandmother, Badr Faris, who was resourceful at a young age and believed strongly in education.
Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Department of History in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
