Baby360 Nursing Scholarship

The American Theatre Wing's Jonathan Larson Grants honor the composer of RENT by investing in emerging musical theatre writers early in their careers. Composers, lyricists, and librettists may apply as individuals or as collaborative teams of up to three; each applicant may appear on only one application per cycle. Recipients receive an unrestricted cash grant of $10,000 each, plus additional support such as residencies, concerts, and recording grants, to further their creative work in musical theatre. Applications are submitted online through the American Theatre Wing each summer and include samples of the applicant's musical theatre writing. The 2026 cycle is open now with a deadline of Friday, September 4, 2026.

Bold.org exclusive award for African American female undergraduate students from Alabama or Georgia majoring in a helping profession (social work, nursing, pre-med, education, etc.) with at least a 3.0 GPA. One $1,000 winner. Requires a 400–600 word essay on leveraging the degree to empower BIPOC women and advance social justice. Apply on Bold.org; deadline Sep 5, 2026; winners announced Oct 6, 2026.

The Walter W. Naumburg Competition, founded in New York in 1926, is the oldest classical music competition in the world and rotates instruments each year; the 2026 edition is for violin. It is open to violinists of every nationality who are at least 18 and no more than 32 years old (not yet 33 by November 1, 2026). Applicants submit recorded performances showing technical command and interpretive range, with a $150 application fee. Live preliminary, semifinal, and final rounds take place in New York City from October 27 to November 1, 2026. First Prize is $25,000 plus two fully subsidized New York recitals and a commissioned work; Second Prize is $15,000 and Third Prize $10,000. Applications for the 2026 competition are due September 7, 2026.

Bold.org exclusive memorial award for low-income high school seniors from immigrant families who are first-generation college students with at least 50% Southeast Asian descent and a minimum 3.5 GPA. Four winners receive $5,000 each ($20,000 total). Applicants submit a 300–600 word essay on their Southeast Asian immigrant experience and upload a headshot. Preference for STEM majors, community service, part-time work, and leadership. Apply directly on Bold.org; deadline Sep 6, 2026; winners announced Oct 7, 2026.
