You need academic merit plus successful completion of coursework or a portfolio review in sculpting. Open to any citizenship or residency status.

Applicants must meet Alberta residency requirements and may submit only one AFA application per deadline across all disciplines. Grants provide up to $18,000 for a specific project in art production, marketing, research, or training and career development. Deadlines are September 1, 2026 and March 1, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time through the GATE Front Office system. First-time applicants need a GATE login at least five business days before the deadline.
