Outstanding allied health students enrolled at an ASAHP member institution may be nominated for the Scholarship of Excellence. Candidates must have completed at least one term and be enrolled in any health discipline except nursing, public health, psychology, or MOD-VOPP fields (medicine, osteopathy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry, and pharmacy). All degree levels from associate through doctoral are eligible.
Seven $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually. The top recipient also receives a second $1,000 award and the title of Elwood Scholar. Each member school nominates one student through the online nomination packet by the June deadline.
The program recognizes students with academic excellence and leadership potential in the allied health professions.
