About this scholarship
Under-represented minority U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients at four-year accredited U.S. institutions who are interested in optometry but are not yet enrolled in optometry school may apply.
Grants of $1,500 each help offset costs such as the OAT exam, school application fees, interview travel, or professional attire. Applicants need at least a 2.75 GPA and must meet stated program credit requirements or have completed an undergraduate degree with optometry prerequisites.
Apply through Optometry Cares. Application deadlines are May 1 and December 1 each year.
