About this scholarship
The Annette Langdon Scholar-Activist Award provides one thousand dollars in financial assistance to a deserving American University undergraduate who is working to improve the lives of people in under-resourced communities through community service or social justice leadership. Applicants must be in good academic standing with at least a 2.5 GPA, enrolled full time, and demonstrate financial need with preference for Pell Grant eligible students or household income of sixty thousand dollars or less. Preference is given to sophomore students majoring in the School of International Service. Applications include a short essay and are submitted to the Office of Campus Life by the advertised deadline.
