Annette Elisabeth Hacking Memorial Award in Medicine

An M.D. student at UBC with an aptitude for and an interest in mental health may receive this award. Selection considers leadership skills, commitment to community service, and demonstrated social conscience.

The award is $1,750. It is made on the recommendation of the Department of Psychiatry. There is no separate application.

It was endowed by the George and Elsa Hacking family and colleagues in memory of Dr. Annette Elisabeth Hacking (M.D. 1985, F.R.C.P.C. 1992), who cared for patients with serious psychological illnesses in public and private practice.
