About this scholarship
Nonresident incoming freshmen with outstanding academics, leadership, talent, and service may qualify for the University of South Carolina Alumni Scholars Award, sponsored by the Alumni Association.
The annual cash award is $8,000 per year plus a tuition reduction to the in-state rate. Submit the general admissions application and a separate Honors College application by November 15. Nonresidents may hold only one general university merit scholarship, though the Provost Scholars Award may stack.
