About this scholarship
The Alumni Legacy Non-Resident Scholarship is a University of Utah merit award for out-of-state first-year, first-time undergraduates whose parent holds a degree from the University of Utah. Applicants must complete the admission application by December 1, with selection based on unweighted cumulative GPA and course rigor. Recipients receive $3,000 per academic year toward tuition and mandatory fees while enrolled full-time on the main campus. The scholarship renews for up to eight semesters with a 3.50 cumulative GPA and at least 24 credit hours per year, but is forfeited if the student gains Utah residency for tuition purposes.
