About this scholarship
The Alumni Association Scholarship for Incoming Freshmen at St. Mary's University supports graduating high school seniors and incoming freshmen nominated by a verified St. Mary's alumnus. Funds come from the Fiesta Oyster Bake, Oysters and Pearls Scholarship Gala, Annual Golf Tournament, and alumni giving. Nominees must be accepted as undergraduate students for the upcoming academic year with no prior college enrollment after high school graduation; dual credit, IB, and AP coursework while in high school is allowed. Transfer students are ineligible. The deadline is February 27, 2026, at 5 p.m. CT. Selected students are contacted by April 1 and must decide by May 1. Nomination does not guarantee an award.
