Alishia Nora Harris Memorial Practicum Award

Teacher candidates in the Bachelor of Education (Elementary) Program at UBC's Vancouver campus are eligible for this award. One award of $2,450 is granted, with preference for a candidate who uses creative arts in their teaching practicum or whose concentration is expressive arts. There is no separate application; the award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Education.

The award was endowed by family and friends in memory of Alishia Nora Harris (B.F.A. 2003, B.Ed. 2007), who loved teaching children through the arts and was always thrilled to share what she had learned from her studies at UBC.
