About this scholarship
Open to an outstanding student graduating with the Bachelor of Education (Elementary) whose practicum is in early childhood education and who demonstrates excellence in teaching practice.
The award is an $850 prize given by pupils, parents, students, colleagues, friends, and relatives in memory of Alice V. Borden (1908-1971), Assistant Professor of Education at UBC who taught and practised pre-school education from 1958 to 1971.
Selection is made on faculty recommendation. There is no separate student application.
