Alfred Flook Memorial Award

Open to a student completing the third year of Chemical Engineering at UBC Vancouver and proceeding to the final year. Selection is based on active participation in student or departmental affairs in Chemical Engineering and pleasing personal qualities and ability to cooperate with others; scholarship ability and financial need are deciding factors only for those who qualify on the first two criteria.

A memorial award of $300 has been endowed by members of Alfred Flook's class (B.A.Sc. Chemical Engineering, 1970), with support from the Department of Chemical Engineering and several companies.

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and the fourth-year class president or like officer. There is no separate application.
