About this scholarship

Alberta high school students who achieve at least 75% in five designated courses in Grade 10, 11, and/or 12 and enroll in post-secondary studies.

Merit awards of up to $2,500 total through tiered amounts by grade level. Apply through Alberta Student Aid; assessment is automatic from high school transcripts. Named in honour of Alexander Rutherford, Alberta's first Premier and Minister of Education.
