Alberta high school students selected by their school for the Premier's Citizenship Award who enroll full-time in a post-secondary program for the fall or winter term may receive the Alberta Centennial Award. The award recognizes citizenship, social responsibility, leadership, and community service.

The scholarship is valued at $2,005. Applying for the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Citizenship Award through Alberta's GATE Front Office system automatically qualifies students for this award. No separate Centennial Award form is required.
