Undergraduate or graduate students in the Chemistry program in the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science at UBC Okanagan may receive a $2,000 scholarship endowed by Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz and UBC. Awarding alternates annually between undergraduate students entering fourth year in the Chemistry Major or Honours program and graduate students who have completed at least one year in the M.Sc. or Ph.D. programs in Chemistry.
