Al Fisher Skiing Award

Open to outstanding members of the UBC Thunderbird Alpine or Nordic Skiing Sport Club at UBC Vancouver, in any year of study. Preference is given to athletes competing at the highest level of intercollegiate competition in Canada and the United States.

One or more awards are offered each year, starting at a minimum of $500 each and rising to the maximum allowable under athletic association regulations. Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Athletics Awards Committee; there is no separate student application.

The awards are funded through an endowment established in honour of Al Fisher.
