Akash Villing & Family Award for Community Service

Students entering the third year of the D.M.D. program at UBC Vancouver who demonstrate community service and involvement in the dental community may be considered for this award.

A $2,000 award is available annually from a gift by Dr. Akashdeep Villing (B.Sc. 2009, D.M.D. 2013) and family. The Faculty of Dentistry recommends recipients; there is no separate application.

Dr. Villing is a Board-Certified specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery and a clinical instructor in oral surgery at UBC. The Villing family established this award to celebrate community contributions by the next generation of aspiring dental professionals.
