Aisha S. Uduman Memorial Award for Graduate Students in Forestry

Open to graduate students in the UBC Vancouver Faculty of Forestry who demonstrate a strong interest in wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship.

A $2,000 award; ordinarily one recipient per year.

No separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Forestry, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Family and friends endowed the award in memory of Aisha S. Uduman (1992-2024). Aisha (B.A. 2015, M.Sc. 2020) completed a master's in Forestry at UBC, and her research on leopards in Sri Lanka earned widespread recognition from peers and mentors.
