About this scholarship
Adults with a documented disability residing in DuPage, Kane, or Kendall counties, Illinois who are pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree or vocational training may apply.
Up to two awards of up to $500 each pay tuition, books, or fees directly to the school.
Submit an application and a one-page essay on what independent living means to you by November 15 for spring enrollment or June 15 for fall enrollment.

- One-page essay on independent living and future educational goals
- Reside in the AIM-CIL service area (DuPage, Kane, Kendall County)
- Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree at an accredited institution OR enrolled in a recognized vocational/trade school
- Documented disability
- Complete the official application form
- One scholarship per person, per household
- Cannot be related to AIM-CIL employees or board members
- Maximum award $500, paid directly to the school
- Deadlines: November 15th for spring semester, June 15th for fall semester
- Eligible degree programs must be at accredited institutions; vocational study must be through a recognized vocational or trade school.
- Only one scholarship is permitted per person and per household.
- Awards are paid directly to the school for tuition, books, or fees.
