Affiliated Fellowships Doctoral Program

Current and prospective full-time UBC graduate students pursuing doctoral studies, regardless of citizenship or visa status. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the Canada Graduate Research Scholarships Doctoral competition; all applicants to that competition are automatically considered for Affiliated funding, with no separate application required.

The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies offers approximately 50 Affiliated Fellowships each year on the basis of academic excellence for full-time study or research. Values range from $175 to $40,000, with most around $16,000. Priority is given to candidates who do not hold significant scholarship funding. The Killam Doctoral Scholarship is offered through this competition.
