About this scholarship

College-bound individuals who were adopted, or were in foster care and overcame adversity, may apply for Adoption STAR academic scholarships on an ongoing basis. Award amounts and the number of recipients vary.

Applicants should demonstrate good character through two letters of recommendation, with at least one from a teacher or guidance counselor. Submit the application through Adoption STAR's scholarship program.

Adoption STAR recognizes adopted and foster-care alumni pursuing higher education through its academic scholarship program.
