ABF Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship

The American Psychological Foundation's David H. and Beverly A. Barlow Grant awards $7,500 to support innovative basic or clinical research on anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, conducted by graduate students and early career researchers. Applicants must be graduate students or early career researchers no more than 10 years postdoctoral, be affiliated with a nonprofit charitable, educational, or scientific institution or a governmental entity operating for charitable and educational purposes, have demonstrated knowledge of basic or clinical anxiety research, and show competence and capacity to execute the proposed work. Applications are submitted through APF's online GivingData portal with a project proposal, timeline, detailed budget and justification, and CV. The 2026 application deadline is September 18, 2026.

Health Care Scholars United provides up to 325 one-time $3,200 awards to current or aspiring clinical health professionals pursuing an accredited United States degree or certificate. Applicants may study full time or part time, must be enrolled when awards are distributed in November 2026, must complete their program by August 31, 2027, and must demonstrate financial need. The application includes three approximately 250-word responses about career goals, overcoming a professional challenge, and improving access to quality care.

Rising high school seniors in Massachusetts with at least a 2.75 GPA who have been in a quality youth-adult mentoring relationship for one year or more (not with a parent) and plan to attend a four-year accredited college may apply for the ALKU Scholarship. The award provides $7,500 per academic year for up to four years toward a bachelor's degree. Submit a 100- to 200-word personal statement, one letter of recommendation from your mentor, and a photograph of you with your mentor through Mass Mentoring Partnership by September 20. If selected, provide a transcript verifying your GPA. Since 2015, ALKU has partnered with Mass Mentoring Partnership to support students positively impacted by mentoring.
