AACN members may apply for Continuing Professional Development Scholarships to fund conferences, certificate programs, internships, seminars, or aligned academic courses.
Awards are up to $3,000 per year. Applicants submit a personalized learning plan that links a knowledge gap to the requested activity and should apply three to four months before the planned activity. Applications are accepted year-round.

Two scholarships go to full-time predoctoral dental students at accredited U.S. or Canadian schools who have finished at least one year, demonstrate interest in advanced education, and are committed to academic dental careers. ADEA individual membership is required; U.S. and Canadian applicants are eligible. Each recipient receives $5,500. Awards are announced at the ADEA Annual Session; 2025 recipients are listed on the program page. Apply online via MyADEA by September 15 each year (applications typically open mid to late July). Materials include a personal statement, two faculty nomination/evaluation letters, a dean recommendation, and transcripts. Joint program of the American Dental Education Association and Crest Oral-B supporting future dental educators.

Applicants must have completed at least one year, show strong interest and achievement in preventive dentistry, hold a superior academic record, and be ADEA individual members. Each award is $2,500. The 2026 recipients were announced at the March 2026 ADEA Annual Session. Students apply online through MyADEA by September 15 (portal opens mid to late July). Each school may submit up to three dean-nominated candidates. Required materials include a dean letter, student summary of preventive dentistry activities, CV, and transcripts. Funded by Haleon and ADEA to reward excellence in preventive dentistry education.
