About this scholarship
The A.S. Pursuit of Black Excellence Scholarship awards one thousand dollars to San José State University students significantly involved in organizations, community action, and campus initiatives addressing anti-Blackness and systemic racism while working to improve Black student life and academic success at SJSU. Applicants must be matriculated Spartans with at least fifteen semester units and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Only one Associated Students scholarship may be held per student. Submit the Spartan Scholarship application through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office by the annual May 1 deadline.
