About this scholarship
The Associated Students First-Generation Student Scholarship awards one thousand dollars to San José State University students who are the first in their family to attend college and who serve as role models for peers and future first-generation Spartans. Applicants must be matriculated SJSU students with at least fifteen completed semester units, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and demonstrated campus or community leadership. Recipients may receive only one Associated Students scholarship during their time at SJSU. Apply through the Spartan Scholarship application on the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office website by the annual May 1 deadline.
