About this scholarship
The A.S. Advocacy Award grants seven hundred fifty dollars to San José State University students who strongly advocate for social justice through civic engagement such as volunteer work, public activism, and community organizing that builds a more socially conscious campus. Matriculated applicants need at least fifteen SJSU semester units and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Each student may receive only one Associated Students scholarship while attending SJSU. Complete the Spartan Scholarship application through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office portal by the annual May 1 deadline to be considered.
