Graduating high school seniors in the metropolitan Atlanta or Houston areas who plan to attend a partner Historically Black College or University may apply through the 5 Strong Scholarship Foundation. You need at least a 3.0 GPA, a minimum ACT score of 19 or combined SAT score of 990, and demonstrated leadership in school and on campus.
Selected scholars receive full-tuition scholarships at participating HBCUs, are placed in cohorts of five, and receive mentorship from enrollment through graduation. Up to 20 scholarships are available.
Submit the 5 Strong application and, if accepted, commit to mandatory bimonthly College Ready Prep Sessions through graduation. The program seeks engaged students committed to the community, not funding alone.
