1970s & 1980s Thunderbird Lightweight Rowing Alumni Award

Open to members of the UBC Thunderbirds Rowing Team at UBC Vancouver, in any year of study, who demonstrate leadership and dedication to their team. Preference is given to lightweight rowers. Awards totalling $2,150 are available, ranging from a minimum of $500 each up to the maximum allowable under athletic association regulations. There is no student application; the awards are made on the recommendation of the Men's and Women's Rowing Head Coaches and the Athletics Awards Committee.

The endowment was established by varsity lightweight rowing alumni from the 1970s and 1980s to support current and future lightweight rowers carrying on the tradition of UBC rowing excellence.
