About this scholarship
The 1832 Founders Scholarship is a named Gettysburg College merit award commemorating the year the institution was founded. Prospective students are automatically considered when they submit the Common Application; no supplemental scholarship form is required and awards are made without regard to financial need. Recipients are chosen for academic promise based on high school achievement, curriculum strength, and optional test scores as part of the competitive admission review. To renew, enrolled students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the end of each academic year for up to eight semesters.
