Dundee Interior & Environmental Design portfolio annotations
Dundee asks invited applicants to its Interior & Environmental Design BDes to show their creative development in a digital portfolio. The selection criteria include research, originality, practical skill, communication, and engagement with design. Written annotations support the work by explaining the process; the portfolio is separate from the UCAS personal statement.

Invited PDF portfolio of up to 15 work pages and a contents page, with brief descriptions and annotations
What to prepare
- 1For each selected piece, briefly identify the medium, size, and date, as Dundee requests.
- 2Use short annotations to show the path from research and early sketches to design decisions and final work.
- 3Explain a specific design influence or observation where it helps an assessor understand your engagement with the subject.
How to approach the writing
- Wait for Dundee's portfolio invitation by personal email, then upload through My Applications on eVision.
- Combine no more than 15 pages of work and one contents page into a PDF of at most 50 MB; if using video, keep it within the published five-minute allowance.
Before you submit
The portfolio page names September 2027 entry but still displays a February 2026 deadline for Scottish-fee applicants. Treat that date as outdated; use the 2027 deadline in your own invitation and confirm any revised format before uploading.
