Cambridge Architecture personal statement and portfolio
Cambridge Architecture applicants submit artwork before interview and show a portfolio if invited. The submitted PDF is limited to six A4 pages and under 15 MB. One college, St John's, also asks for a teacher-marked piece of written work; that is not a requirement at every college.

What to prepare
- 1In the UCAS statement, connect your interest in buildings and spaces to specific observations, making, reading, or study.
- 2Select images that show visual and material curiosity; Cambridge says the portfolio need not consist of architectural drawings.
- 3If applying to St John's, choose a teacher-marked written piece you can discuss and follow that college's instructions.
How to approach the writing
- Make the pre-interview PDF a concise selection that relates to the larger portfolio you can discuss at interview.
- Check the college assessing your application for its submission deadline and any additional written-work requirements.
