Bath Architecture UCAS personal statement
Bath assesses BSc Architecture applicants using their UCAS personal statement alongside academic evidence. Applicants without an Art or Design subject may be considered in exceptional circumstances if that statement shows substantial exposure to art, design, or architecture. Bath says it will not usually consider an alternative or supplemental personal statement for this course.

What to prepare
- 1Show how you explored architecture through a building, design project, reading, exhibition, or other specific experience.
- 2Explain what the experience taught you about design decisions or the built environment and how it shaped your interest in the subject.
- 3If your courses lack Art or Design, use the UCAS statement to give substantial evidence of relevant exposure rather than promising a later supplement.
How to approach the writing
- Make the UCAS statement relevant to Architecture even if you apply to other subjects through UCAS.
