York concurrent education personal statement
York's direct-entry Concurrent BEd pairs teacher education with another undergraduate degree. Its online supplementary form includes a personal statement and experience profile; the faculty says selection considers academic achievement, inclusiveness, experience and characteristics relevant to teaching. The public page does not publish a fixed statement prompt or word limit.

What to prepare
- 1Explain why you want to teach, anchored in a particular learning or mentoring experience.
- 2Reflect on how that experience changed the way you include and support different learners.
- 3Connect what you have learned to the undergraduate program you would study alongside Education.
How to approach the writing
- Use the experience profile for roles and chronology, and the statement for reflection on those experiences.
- Ask recommenders early so both online letters can arrive before the supplement deadline.
