University of Toronto supplemental applications
Most U of T programs assess grades without a supplemental application. Engineering, Computer Science, Rotman Commerce, Kinesiology, and several campus-specific programs use separate profiles, short answers, essays, or video responses.

Program-specific supplemental applications
What to prepare
- 1Identify your campus, faculty, and program first; there is no university-wide Toronto essay prompt.
- 2For St. George Engineering, follow the Online Student Profile; for Computer Science and Rotman Commerce, use their separate supplements.
- 3For Kinesiology, prepare the Statement of Interest; other programs may ask for an audition or different evidence.
How to approach the writing
- Match each response to the program's own assessment criteria and format.
- Keep examples of academic interests, teamwork, and initiative ready, then answer only the questions the program actually asks.
Before you submit
U of T sends access details after you apply. Confirm the current program portal before relying on a third-party list of prompts.
