UVic Visual Arts portfolio questionnaire
Applicants to UVic's undergraduate Visual Arts or Visual Arts and Computer Science program complete two steps: a university application and a separate departmental portfolio with a questionnaire. The questionnaire gives the department context for the submitted work. The Visual Arts minor does not require this application.

What to prepare
- 1Explain why you want to study visual arts at UVic using an interest or question your work already explores.
- 2Connect relevant activities and skills to the portfolio pieces without repeating a list of courses or exhibitions.
- 3Describe your artistic goals and what you expect from the program in the questionnaire's current fields.
How to approach the writing
- Prepare the required ten digital images, or five images and a video link, before opening the departmental submission form.
- Use UVic's linked questionnaire preview to plan concise answers, then follow the live form's questions and limits; the preview is for reference only.
Before you submit
UVic lists January 31 for both the university application and the Visual Arts portfolio submission. Confirm the 2027 intake deadline and the live questionnaire before submitting; do not confuse this entry portfolio with the later Team-Taught or Honours application.
