UNB nurse practitioner personal statement
UNB's Fredericton Faculty of Nursing asks nurse practitioner applicants to explain their professional interest and suitability for advanced practice. The statement also addresses competing demands on their time and how they will meet the program's intensive coursework and clinical placements. This is the Master of Nursing NP route, which admits a cohort every two years.

How to approach the writing
- Keep the personal statement distinct from the employer's verification of practice hours and the current résumé.
- Check whether the traditional MN or post-master's NP pathway applies; both have nursing-degree, course, registration, and recent practice requirements.
Before you submit
UNB lists the next intake as September 2027 and the admission deadline as January 15, 2027. Applicants need current or eligible Nurses Association of New Brunswick registration and at least 3,510 hours of recent relevant RN practice.
