UFV Integrated Studies workforce-entry statement
UFV's Bachelor of Integrated Studies offers a limited non-traditional admission route for people starting or returning to university after at least five years in the workforce. That route requires a written statement of interest with the application. The regular secondary-school and post-secondary entry routes on the same calendar page do not list this statement. UFV does not publish a fixed prompt or word limit there.

- 1Explain why a multidisciplinary degree fits the work, community, or learning questions that led you back to study.
- 2Use a concrete example from your years in the workforce to show what you learned and which skills you want to develop next.
- 3Describe the subjects or credentials you hope to combine, while leaving transcripts and employment chronology to the application materials.
How to approach the writing
- Use the statement only if you are applying through the non-traditional workforce-entry category, not as a universal BIS supplement.
- Check your eligibility, including the five-year workforce condition and UFV's English prerequisite, before planning the letter.
